901am on PRWeb

901am:

PRWeb, an online press release distribution newswire, announced the launch of Feature Video, a new service that allows users to embed online video content into their search-engine optimized press releases. Just as PRWeb increases the online visibility of news releases by optimizing them for search engines and feeding the release directly to major online news outlets, Feature Video increases the visibility of customer’s video content.

To take advantage of Feature Video, PRWeb users simply upload their video to popular video-sharing sites, including YouTube, Google Video and Yahoo! Video. Feature Video then enables videos to play directly within the customer’s PRWeb release.

PRWeb Trackbacks

When using Blog This feature of PRWeb, you can benefit from trackbacks (links pointing back to your blog). Here is what I found on My Affiliate Journey about PRWeb Trackbakcs:

While I initially thought of this technique as a possible loophole where you acquire an inbound link from PRWeb (PR 7), I am convinced now that it is not a loophole but indeed a great SEO/SEM strategy.

Unfortunately many bloggers still underestimate the power PRWeb Trackbacks. I will write more about it in the feature so stay tuned and subscribe to this blog.

Rules of Marketing and PR

News ImageIf you have never used press releases in the past it is good idea to see how the pros in industry utilize this powerfull medium.

David Meerman Soctt, an online thought leadership strategist said following in his most reacent press release:

“If you’re still following the traditional PR techniques of emailing press releases and broadcast pitches to lots of people in your media database, I’m sure you’re finding it ineffective. OK, that’s the depressing news. The good news is that there are effective ‘new rules’ approaches that work very well to get your messages into the hands (and onto the screens) of reporters so they will be more likely to write about you. Don’t forget that reporters are always looking for interesting companies, products, and ideas to write about. They want to find you. But they don’t want spam email pitches.”
